AWANA is for children 2 yrs through 6th grade.  Directed by Michelle Kapper, this program teaches children the Word of God, presents the Gospel of Jesus and trains them to serve HIM!  Help is still needed.  If you would like to join the team and learn more about this program, please contact the church office for more information at 217-875-2300.

"Love & Respect" -- Led by Dave & Kathy Gissler -- Room 101                                                                    What do you want for your marriage?  Do you want some peace?  Want to feel close?  Want to feel valued?  Want to experience marriage the way God intended?  We'll look at all of these things along with how to deal with conflict quickly and biblically.  Based on Ephesians 5:33, we will explore how to give the love she most desires, and the respect he desperately needs.

"The Life & Times of Jesus Christ" -- led  by John GreenLeaf -- Room 102                                                    This is a study in the life and times of Jesus Christ.  In this course we will explore the culture and customs of Jewish life during the time of Christ and how they impacted His actions and teachings.  There will be a video teaching each night by historian Ray Vanderlaan (Focus on the Family), which are filmed in the exact locations of Israel where key events took place.

"Answers" -- Led by Rene Birge -- Room 104                                                                                                                            What do you really believe and why does it matter to your life, your family, and your faith?  We live in a culture with more questions than ever.  Questions that affect one's acceptance of the Bible as authoritative and trustworthy.  This DVD by "Answers in Genesis" featuring several well known authors of best selling books presents easy to understand answers to some of the most important apologetics quandaries of today.  Discussion time will follow each video.

"The Heart of Jesus" -- led by Don & Kathy Smith -- Room 104                                                                                   SUNDAY MORNINGS STARTING SEPT. 12 -- 9:00--9:45am                                                                             The Heart of Jesus is His love for His Father, His love for the lost and His love for the Church (believers).  In this class we will learn together about our relationship with the Father, our relationship with the church and our relationship with the lost.  We as believers need to understand that as we learn to love God more, we will love one another more.  This develops a growing love and compassion for the lost.  As this happens, we begin to function in the design God has for His Church.  Individuals find their place of ministry causing us to reach the lost in the world.  Let us learn together how to take from the kingdom of darkness, build the Kingdom of God and watch the church become victorious! 

A new young adult service to be launched September 12th and occur on Sunday evenings weekly!

This event has become a nation-wide phenomenon!  Students global-wide gather around their own school flag poles to meet for student-led prayer.  This year's theme is REVEAL...."Our Father in heaven, reveal who you are."  Matthew 6:9-13.  Visit their website at www.SYATP.com.

There is still room left to join this worship getaway!  We will leave together from LIFE around 6:00pm on Friday, Sept. 24th and travel together to Little Galilee, a camp located about 20 minutes away near Clinton (uur time will end around 1:00pm on Saturday).  This is a chance to put time aside, getting away from cell phones, TVs, email and the world and take a time to draw closer to our Father and our church family.  We will spend time in worship and  teaching as we draw close to God.  Cost is $15 per person which includes Saturday breakfast and lunch (no meal on Friday evening but snacks are welcome).  The retreat is limited to 36 and spots are filling quickly!  Email Dawn Vance at VanceDM@gmail.com or contact the church at 217-875-2300.

This year's retreat "The Passage" will feature Dr. Harold Helms--More than 50 years of experience as a pastor, educator and church administrator.  He's served the Foursquare Church as president, vice president, board member and divisional superintendent, in addition to his duties as pastor.  He also served as the senior pastor of the historic Angelus Temple in Los Angeles for 18 years before retiring in 1999.  He has since published the book God's Final Answer and continues to teach.

Men & boys ages 13 yrs & up -- Cost of $70 includes lodging & 3 meals ($25 deposit required)                   Activities include: Corn-Hole competion, Frisbee Golf Course, Sand Volleyball, Basketball, Cards, & more     Sign-up at the Welcome Center in the atrium or contact the church office.  Registration deadline is Sept. 26th
