A Word from the Lord
by Pastor David Catron
Here is the Word of the Lord to you today. The Lord would say, “Fix your eyes upon Me. Take your eyes and focus them upon Me,” the Lord says, “and don't remove them. The things that you're going through in life, the difficulties, the challenges, the problems, look to Me,” says the Lord. Don't look at the problems. Don't look at the challenges. Don't look at what's going on in your life, but look to Me,” says the Lord. I will watch over you. I will carry you. I will sustain you." But the Lord says, “You must, you must fix your eyes upon Me. You must. You must.”

Also as I was down there, I felt so strongly that what the Lord was also speaking to my heart is just this reality that there is a real devil, hopefully everybody understands that. Hopefully you understand that this life is about a war battlefield, a battle ground. There's a real enemy. And the day that you came to know Christ as your Savior you signed in to God's army. You're on His side now. And whether or not you want to be in the war, you're in the war. You are hated. You're an enemy. Now listen, that's a good thing. Because, at one time, you were an enemy of God. Not hated by God, loved by God, but you were His enemy. You were His enemy when you were in your sin nature. And the Bible talks about that reality that we were enemies of God. We were strangers. We were foreigners. We were separated. But God who is full of mercy and great love, the Bible says “wherewith He loved us He sent His son Jesus and redeemed us.” But the day that you received Christ, that day, you became an enemy of everything that has to do with Hell's position upon the face of this earth. And here's what the Lord was speaking to me while I was standing down there. He was saying that “the enemy will constantly in all the days of your life, he will constantly be presenting you with problems; challenges; difficulties. And if you get your eyes on the problems, the enemy will just give you more. The more you fix and focus upon the problems, the more you get embattled and encumbered by seeing what's going on in your life, the more you focus upon that, the more of it you're going to get. Because the enemy sees that he's effective. He sees the strategy that he's using against you is causing the very reality that he wants; and that is he wants your life to get caught up and bogged down. He wants your life to be ruined. But if you get your eyes on Jesus. If you get your eyes on the Son of God. You reach out to the Lord. You watch what God can do. Listen, when people get their eyes on the Lord, there's just no telling what God can do. Jesus said, “with God, all things are possible.” But it's by getting our eyes on the Lord. Keeping our eyes on the Lord. When the enemy sees that his strategy is literally causing you to get your eyes on Jesus, there are a lot of times the enemy will just back right off, because he says, “Oh no, I don't want that. I don't want that.” But here's the secret in the middle of that, when the problems begin to go away, sometimes people take their eyes off Jesus. I don't have problems now. The doctor said I don't have cancer anymore. My marriage is okay now. I don't have those financial problems anymore. That job I was praying for, I've got it now, I don't need to look at Jesus any longer. Trust me folks, all the days of your life on the face of this earth you need to get your eyes, and keep your eyes on Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God, because it's a battle. It's a battle.
