We value loving God and loving people. Because they are our top priority, the following values are the common threads in all that we do:
- God’s Word
- Worship
- Effective Discipleship
- Family
- Outreach
- Investing in the Emerging Generation
God’s Word – We believe that the Bible is the foundation for life. When it comes to learning how to do life with our families, our community and our world, we look to scripture to give us answers. (Matt. 4:4; John 16:12-15; 2 Tim 3:16)
Worship - We believe in Christ-centered, Spirit led, life transforming worship. While we hold a high value on our corporate worship service, we know that worship is not just songs - it has to radically transform us and consequently impact society around us. We are to live a life of worship. (Ps. 66:4; John 4:23-24; Col 1:15-20)
Effective Discipleship - We believe every Christian should commit to a lifestyle of consistent spiritual growth with honest accountability. As we strive for continual spiritual growth; we are committed to facilitating this growth through discipleship in small groups and opportunities to develop each person’s God-given gifts. (Pr. 27:17; 1 Peter 2:2; 2 Peter 1:5-8)
Family – We believe that genuine love and caring relationships are key to the life of every endeavor. We will intentionally build healthy relationships within our individual families and church family. (Deut. 11:18-21; Ps. 133:1; Acts 2:46-47)
Outreach - We believe that every person, Christian and non-Christian alike, is valuable to God and to His Kingdom. Because people are eternally valuable to God, they are valuable to us. Outreach to us is intentionally sharing Jesus with the world. We do this through organized acts of kindness, meeting felt needs, and sharing our faith. In addition we become purposeful in building genuine relationships with others while so that evangelism becomes a normal, intentional lifestyle of winning others to Christ, one by one. (Mark 15:16-18; Ro. 10:14; Acts 2:46-47)
Investing in the emerging generation - We believe that God has called us to be intentional about investing in the emerging generation. By equipping them with the needed tools, they will take the baton of godly character, authentic faith, and a servant heart into the next generation and reach the world with the gospel. (Ps. 78:6,7; Deut. 6:5-6; 2 Tim. 2:2)
